Hopkins Investment Management LLC

Investment Management & Advisory Services

Hopkins Investment Management provides active investment management services for individual clients as well as small businesses and community associations. Clients pay a negotiated annual fee debited proportionately once every calendar quarter. We believe this fee-based structure eliminates conflicts of interest issues that often arise from commission-based remuneration arrangements.

We begin our one-on-one consultation by exploring your personal objectives. After working through a thorough risk tolerance analysis, we recommend an investment portfolio that is customized for you. This recommendation is an integral part of a written investment policy statement. This statement also outlines how performance will be gauged, including benchmarks against which performance will be measured. It is important to note that while past performance is important for comparison purposes, it not a guarantee of future results.

Clients can choose among a variety of investment vehicles including individual bonds, certificates of deposit and a range of other fixed income instruments; individual stocks, load and no-load mutual funds, U.S. domestic funds, international funds, exchange traded funds and options.

After reviewing our investment portfolio recommendations with you and obtaining your agreement, we implement the agreed-upon strategy by opening an account in your name at TD Ameritrade or Schwab and continue to monitor it.

You will receive monthly statements, trade confirmations and other account-related communications directly from TD Ameritrade or Schwab Investments. These reports will show account performance, performance comparisons, transaction history and specific tax information, such as cost basis, income and capital gains.

Each quarter you will also receive personalized investment reports from Hopkins Investment Management with additional detail, together with our Quarterly Investment Letter. We will meet with you every six months to review these reports and your portfolio’s performance.
