In 2001, a former banking lawyer and associate at a large investment firm founded his own financial planning company dedicated to working with clients as partners and friends.  A few months later, immediately following September 11, Martin Hopkins helped his clients weather one of the toughest periods in their lives.

Since then, Hopkins Investment Management, LLC has been dedicated to helping its financial partners grow their assets and achieve their goals through fee-only financial planning and investment management.  Serving the Mid-Atlantic area, including Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland, the firm prides itself on a fully personalized touch, with Martin still serving as the main contact for all clients.  The firm also recently had the privilege of adding Rob Spanjaard to the team.  A recent winner of a Morningstar Top Fund Award, which is internationally acknowledged as the leading retail investment product award, Spanjaard co-manages a mutual fund that achieved a compound return of almost 17 percent more than the S&P 500.
